The Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the body of Xavior Harrelson, the 10-year-old boy from Montezuma who had been missing since May 27.

Poweshiek County Sheriff Thomas Kriegel made the announcement in a statement issued Friday night after human remains were found in a farm field approximately three miles northwest of Montezuma on Sept. 30. The cause of death has not yet been publicly released.
