As of 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, there have been 55 cases of COVID-19 confirmed among Marshalltown Community School District (MCSD) students and/or employees this week — 42 among students and 13 among staff. The next report will be shared on Friday, Jan. 14.

According to the data provided by the school district, this is the highest number of new cases confirmed in a single week since the information has been tracked. The previous record was 42 on Sept. 24, 2021.
