The Salvation Army reaches overall Christmas goal

The Salvation Army Marshalltown announced on Monday it had reached its overall 2021 Christmas goal of $217,700.

The campaign which began on Nov. 1 and runs through the end of January is used to help The Salvation Army fund programs in Marshalltown, such as rent and utility assistance, food pantry and youth programming, throughout the year.

Capt. Pam Kasten, corps officer of The Salvation Army Marshalltown, said “We have been blessed by the response of the Marshalltown community once again to come alongside of The Salvation Army and meet needs in Jesus’ name without discrimination. The continual support of the Marshalltown community is why The Salvation Army can continue to do the most good.”

Those wanting to contribute to the ongoing fundraising efforts of The Salvation Army can mail donations to PO Box 482, Marshalltown, Iowa, 50158. All donations stay in Marshall County for programs conducted by The Salvation Army.
