Marshalltown man treated for stab wound
The Marshalltown Police Department (MPD) is investigating a stabbing that occurred early Monday morning, but the victim’s injury is not believed to be life threatening.
At 1:20 a.m., the MPD responded to UnityPoint hospital after a 41-year-old Marshalltown man, who has not yet been identified, was presented at the hospital with a stab wound.
The police department continues to investigate this incident and does not believe it to be a random crime as the preliminary findings have revealed the victim and potential suspect are acquainted with each other.
There is no immediate danger to the general public connected with this incident. The names of the involved parties are not being released at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
