International Day of Yoga in Marshalltown

Jen Nason-Nevels led a yoga class Tuesday morning for the International Day of Yoga. Heidi Draisey with Spirited Yoga and Wellness and one of the organizers for the Marshalltown event, said the Tuesday International Day of Yoga celebration was really about connecting the community with yoga and introducing Marshalltown to its benefits.
In addition to yoga classes for adults throughout Tuesday morning and afternoon, a yoga class for kids was also taught by Jen Nason-Navels to celebrate the International Day of Yoga.

Tuesday was International Yoga Day, and for the first time in Marshalltown, four yoga studios banded together to celebrate it. Jen Nason-Nevels of Inspired Roots, LLC, Heidi Draisey of Spirited Yoga and Wellness, Hilary Powell of River Boulevard Yoga and Taylor Bear of Soul Magick each taught multiple yoga classes at West End Park throughout the day Tuesday, and each of the seven yoga classes catered to a different demographic, whether it was kids or seniors. The 6 a.m. yoga class, pictured, got to watch the sun rise as they practiced.
