Raymon Company announces recent promotions

ALBION — Raymon Company, a leading provider of grilles, registers and diffusers for commercial buildings, announces several management promotions that will become effective Jan. 1, 2023.

Chad Raymon, who has been the company’s vice-president and national sales manager, has been promoted to company president.

Raymon has been a part of the Raymon Company since the Raymon family started the business in 1979. He joined the company full-time in 2003 and spent the first year working for one of the largest HVAC mechanical reps in the United States. He then spent three years traveling throughout the United States in a Raymon Display Trailer that had a showroom in the back and living quarters in the front. He helped build an extensive sales organization of more than 200 rep offices all across the country.

Larry Raymon, chairman of the Board, said “Chad’s manufacturing experience combined with his incredible work ethic and management skills will help lead the company to a new era.”

Chad currently resides with his wife, Amanda, in Nashville, TN. Both are also talented musicians well known in the Nashville area.

Blake Matney, who has been the company’s chief operating officer, has been promoted to chief executive officer.

Matney has great manufacturing experience, working at Danfoss in Ames, for six years and also working as a CNC Machinist at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown. He joined Raymon Company in 2017 and quickly became director of engineering before taking on the responsibilities of COO. While at Danfoss, he developed and implemented a coolant recycling program that was a huge money saver. Larry Raymon, COB, said “Blake’s communication and leadership skills combined with his understanding of performance metrics uniquely position him to assist our new president in our next phase of growth.”

Matney is married and has three children. He resides in Liscomb.

Melissa Hartman, who has been the company freight manager and assistant to the COO, has been promoted to company finance manager. In her current position, Hartman also managed accounts receivable and collections. Her past professional experience with AT&T Mobility, Sprint and United Parcel Service in Des Moines allowed her to develop outstanding communication and computer skills. In her new role as finance manager, she will provide the president and CEO with weekly performance metrics and oversee the company finances.

Hartman is married and has two children. She resides in Conrad.
