The Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA will host the annual Healthy Kids Day event from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on May 19.

The event is free and open to the public. It will include inflatables, games, sports, light refreshments and lots of fun for children. No pre-registration is necessary.

Many of the activities will be outside at 108 Washington St., but the gym will also be open and the multisport simulator will be free to use as well.

“We are excited to host this event, which should have various fun activities for kids and a way to get them moving and active,” said Andrew Potter, marketing and communications director for the Y.
