The Rose Festival is doing something unique for the 5K tomorrow in State Center. It is a standard 5K that starts at 7 am, but at the end, the participants will have the option to compete in a MURPH, which is named after Lieutenant Michael Murphy who died in Afghanistan. He did the workout everyday, and now it is a workout that people do to honor the fallen. It is 100 pullups, 200 pushups and 300 air-squats. That will be going on at the end as the participants finish. The 5K and MURPH is part of the 2023 Rose Festival events.
