A jury determined a Marshalltown man was guilty of child sexual abuse on Monday after a trial was held last week.
Rudy Singh, 35, was found guilty of two counts of second degree sexual abuse, four counts of child endangerment and one count of domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury. A sentencing hearing has been set for Aug. 28 and Singh remains in custody.
He could face up to 25 years in prison for each count of sexual abuse.
The charges involve sexual abuse of a child younger than 12 during a five-year period from 2014 to 2019.
The child endangerment and domestic abuse charges stem from 2020, during which a minor was present, when Singh physically assaulted a victim numerous times by punching in the face and chest. He also punched and kneed the victim in 2021.
The charges were investigated by the Marshalltown Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant County Attorney Travis Conder with the Marshall County Attorney's Office.
