Rhodes festival showcases 140 years of pride

T-R PHOTOS BY JAKE RYDER — The Rhodes Pride Days made its return over the weekend with three days of activities running Friday through Sunday. Ruby Gibbs and Cole Grooms were crowned Little Miss and Mister Rhodes on Friday, crowned by Grand Marshals Joy and Cyril Thill. With the motto “Cheers to 140 Years,” the schedule was packed with events, ranging from a bags tournament, a family movie in the park, a Saturday morning 5K run, and a variety of activities for children. Considering the scale with only four months of planning, event organizers were even more excited for 2024.
