Blevins, Ruiz crowned MHS Homecoming Royalty

The event also included a pep rally and special performances from the MHS cheerleaders, dance team and jazz band.
Thursday’s coronation was an emotional night in light of the tragic and untimely passing of 2022 Homecoming Queen Yanitza Lopez last November, and her younger sister Jenicka honored her memory by standing in for her alongside last year’s king, Cesar Corona.

The Bobcat marching band kept the beat throughout the parade and made plenty of noise in the process.
Two recently retired longtime MCSD staffers, Rep. Sue Cahill (who worked as a teacher librarian) and former Dean of Students Dan Terrones served as the grand marshals of the homecoming parade down Main Street.
