Rural Marshall County woman involved in fatal tractor accident
On Saturday at 10:25 a.m., Marshall County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting that a person was involved in an accident with a tractor in the northwestern rural Marshall County. According to a press release from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived on the scene and found that Beth Fuhs, 57, of Union, had been operating a loader tractor, and it had overturned causing serious injuries.
Fuhs was transported to UnityPoint Health in Marshalltown by an ambulance, and she later succumbed to her injuries. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Albion, Clemons, Liscomb, and State Center Fire and EMS, Union Ambulance, UnityPoint Ambulance, the Marshall County Communications Center, and the Marshall County Medical Examiners Office.
