By Lana Bradstream 2 min read

The annual Marshalltown Area United Way (MAUW) campaign kickoff will be held Tuesday at the Marshalltown Arts and Civic Center. The campaign, Let's Raise the Bar(r), has a goal to raise $825,000 by the middle of December. Proceeds from the kickoff go toward that goal.

The kickoff, which is open to the public, features a free-will donation meal with ribs donated by JBS, cheesy hashbrowns, baked beans and chips.

Following the meal, MAUW Executive Director Kendra Sorensen, Events and Marketing Coordinator Shannon Johnson and campaign co-chairs Kyle Martin and Carrie Barr will give a presentation in the Monet Reception Hall. The presentation will highlight the debut of the campaign video created by Craig Schwartz with Good Seasons Productions.
