Firefighters from State Center, Rhodes, Melbourne, Colo, and Clemons responded to a commercial fire on the 500 block of East Main Street in State Center just after noon on Thanksgiving Day. State Center Police Chief Jon Thomas told the T-R that the building, which houses a wood shop owned by Barry York, was “not a total loss” as most of the damage occurred on its south side.
