The local chapter of the American Legion Auxiliary is always looking for ways to help veterans, and on Friday, representatives from ALA regions 3 and 4, along with the ALA's state department, presented a check for $5,613.55 to purchase a blanket warmer for the residents of the Iowa Veterans Home.
