The Midnight Garden in Marshalltown was the place to be on Sunday afternoon for a celebration of Dia de los Ninos/Dia de los Libros (Day of the Children/Day of the Books). Members of the MCC soccer team worked with local youths on their game, and Immigrant Allies volunteer Araceli Roberts reads to her kids, Eliana and Emily Roberts. Liana Morrison gets a lesson in quilting with the folks from the Senior Citizens Center, and in other photos, a wide range of activities were available along with food vendors and booths set up by several local nonprofits.
