Patrick Earl Charles, Jr. 39, of Marshalltown was arrested Friday by the Marshalltown Police Department.

The arrest was made in connection with an incident involving a juvenile found in possession of illegal narcotics.

Charles has been charged with five offenses – child endangerment, a class C felony; intent to deliver cocaine, a class C felony; unlawful possession of a firearm, intent to deliver marijuana and failure to affix a drug tax stamp. Class C felonies carry a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The charges are accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

He is being held in the Marshall County Jail and will remain until an initial court appearance. The investigation remains active.
