STATE CENTER — The State Center Lions Club in conjunction with the State Center Development Association is offering a program to get more trees planted in the town of State Center.

Each resident is allowed to purchase one tree per household for $20. These trees average $280 retail.

Residents may pick from the following trees (pending availability/funds): Coffeetree, Hackberry, Linden, Planetree, Tuliptree, Oak and several varieties of Maple. Trees must be visible from the street and cannot be planted in the city right-of-way. Trees will arrive in the spring and applicants will be notified by email when the tree will be delivered to the residence.
