MPD responds to accidental shooting incident with non-life threatening injuries

The Marshalltown Police Department was called to the 2700 block of West Main Street for the report of a shooting, according to a press release sent Tuesday morning. The calling party reported an accidental discharge of a firearm, resulting in injuries to two individuals, one adult and one child. The victims were both transported to the hospital, and the injuries are considered non-life threatening. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
