Navy veteran and IVH resident Theodore “Ted” Payne, who served his country for 26 years, enjoyed a celebratory 80th birthday breakfast at Doo Dah’s Diner in Marshalltown on Thursday morning. Ted, a man of strong Christian faith, is thankful for every day he gets on Earth and eager to converse with anyone who wishes to chat with him.
