Physical education teacher Blake Cutright tells Silas Wagner and Justin Kabruhtway about his favorite food during PE class. Cutright asked the students to sit in a circle, introduce themselves and share their favorite foods. The food which was declared the most was pizza.
Lorena Fernandez Perez and Sofia Perez Aguilar spend some time coloring on the first day of school. They are students in Amy Pollard’s kindergarten class.
Hoglan Elementary fourth grade students play in the gaga pit during afternoon recess on Tuesday. Other students were playing four square, basketball and on the playground equipment.
The first day of the 2024-25 school year began on Tuesday for the Marshalltown Community School District. Students at Hoglan Elementary learned about expectations, their new school schedules, curriculum and fun activities which will take place this year.
