The Marshalltown Central Business District’s annual Haunt the Block event with participating downtown businesses once again drew a massive crowd of trick or treaters to the area with a variety of spooky promotions and plenty of candy for everyone between 4 and 6 p.m. The T-R went all out this year with its haunted hallway created by the Bradstream family and Shelton Coleman, complete with fog, lights and a cast of shady characters.
