The Marshalltown Public Library lawn was the place to be on Wednesday afternoon as a celebration commemorating El Dia de los Niños/El Dia de los Libros (Children’s Day/Book Day) drew a large crowd and featured lively musical performances. According to Youth Services Director Joa LaVille, the MPL was the first in the state to observe the holiday, which is always observed on April 30 and traces its roots in the U.S. back to Texas in 1997.

Starting at $4.38/week.
