West Marshall High School graduate Madelyn Thompson, pictured at right, emerged from a crowded field of six candidates to be named the 2025 Central Iowa Fair Queen during the crowning ceremony under the Big Top Tent at the Central Iowa Fairgrounds on Wednesday evening. Thompson plans to attend Iowa State University and study business analytics in the fall. Marshalltown High School junior to be Rory Piscitelli, left, was the first runner-up, and Mindyn Large, who is entering third grade at West Marshall, was selected as the Little Miss CIF Princess.
