Children, parents, vendors and local public safety officials alike came out for the annual Marshalltown Central Business District (MCBD) Rididculous Day on Saturday, which was moved from its usual location on Main Street to the Cartwright Farmers Market Pavilion on State Street due to the ongoing Main Street road reconstruction project. In addition to the sales and specials at downtown businesses, the event featured kids activities, the usual farmers market, and representatives from local nonprofit organizations and first responders from the Marshalltown Police Department, the Marshalltown Fire Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
