The Garwin Legion Post #71 has to replace 50 of the 90 flags at the Garwin Cemetery used primarily on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The cost of the flags will be $1,250.00. Pat Smith has made 250 Worry Worms at a cost of $5 each, and the proceeds will go towards the purchase of the flags. They can be purchased at the Garwin Legion, located at 601 3rd St. Pictured is GMG High School student Cayden Slifer, who is holding the worry worms below the main flag at the cemetery.

The Legion is also accepting donations from anyone who wishes to contribute. One does not have to purchase a Worry Worm to help with this cause. Community members are welcome to make a donation of any amount.

“All support is greatly appreciated as we work together to honor and maintain the cemetery’s display of flags,” Slifer said.
