T-R PHOTO BY ROBERT MAHARRY — The westbound lanes of Highway 30 near the 18th Avenue ramp were closed for an extended period of time on Wednesday due to a rollover crash. The Marshalltown Police Department received assistance from the Marshalltown Fire Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.

The Marshalltown Police Department is investigating a rollover crash that occurred near the westbound entrance ramp of Highway 30 and 18th Avenue on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:24 p.m.

According to a press release, the westbound lanes will be closed for “an extended period” pending the investigation, and the MPD is being assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and the Marshalltown Fire Department.
