Fall Into Shopping fair returns to Veterans Memorial Coliseum
The time is never too early to start Christmas shopping. The third annual Fall Into Shopping Vendor & Craft Show on Sept. 27 will give Marshalltown residents the chance to start, if they haven’t already.
Hosted by AB Events, the fair will feature more than 75 vendors selling a variety of wares, such as home fragrance and decor, food and baked goods, clothing and accessories, bath and beauty, rocks and crystals and books.
Ashley Anderson and Christina Best, co-owners of AB Events, will be one of the vendors with Pink Zebra products available.
“As for vendors that will catch attention, it will depend on what [people] are shopping for – things will appeal to the fashionista, the pet lover, the home decorator, the stuffie lover,” they said.
Beyond vendors, there will be some raffle drawings and Dave’s Coffee Cakes will be present for a Sons of the American Legion fundraiser.
“We team up with Dave’s for a lot of our shows to help local places,” they said.
The advertising the hosts created for the fair states it’s time to start thinking about the holidays.
“We have found that just in general once we hit September those that want to shop early for the holidays are ready to start shopping now, but also people just love to shop for themselves,” they said.
The Fall into Shopping fair, which has free admission, is not the only event AB Events will host before 2026 rolls around. Both owners look forward to kicking off the fall and winter shows as they have four scheduled between September and December. They are already planning on the return of Fall into Shopping to Marshalltown next year, as well.
“It’s fun to get the community to shop local and shop small,” they said. “Plus it’s great to help all the vendors get their names out there and maybe even get recurring customers.”
