Marshalltown man found not guilty of sexual abuse
A Marshalltown man who was charged with felony sexual abuse over an alleged incident at a North 1st Avenue residence on Sept. 28, 2022 has been acquitted by a Marshall County jury after a trial late last month.
Edison Nsengiyumva, 26, was found not guilty of third degree sexual abuse, assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and assault on Aug. 29, according to court records. Judge John J. Haney presided over the case, and defense attorney Raphael M. Scheetz represented Nsengiyumva.
