Saluting Branches, a nonprofit organization of arborists and volunteers dedicated to “honoring and assisting veterans by providing tree care services at national cemeteries and other veteran properties,” returned to the Iowa Veterans Home on Wednesday morning for a day of community service after performing similar work on the campus last September and in years prior. They received a warm welcome and greeting from IVH leadership who greatly appreciated their efforts to beautify the property, remove dead or diseased trees and complete other work such as pruning, elevation, mulching and stump grinding.
