On Thursday, Aug. 28, Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate presented to the four-time Carrie Chapman Catt Award winners, West Marshall High School, in celebration of their participation in the 2025-2026 Catt Award program. This is the school’s fifth year participating in the program.
The Catt Award, which officially opened for registration on Aug. 26, is named after the famous Iowan who was instrumental in securing passage of the 19th Amendment, granting women access to the ballot box 100 years ago.
West Marshall High School is one of approximately 150 high schools expected to participate in the award program this year.
Iowa schools that register 50%, 70%, and 90% of their eligible senior students receive recognition. Schools that register 90% or more of their students receive the prestigious Carrie Chapman Catt Award trophy and award presentation.
