IVCCD students, Sen. Ernst’s office team up for more veteran interviews at IVH

On Tuesday afternoon, Isabelle Triggs, right, an intern with Sen. Ernst’s office, interviewed Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs Commandant Todd Jacobus, left, who described his experiences deploying to Iraq with the Iowa Army National Guard during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004 and 2005.

T-R PHOTOS BY ROBERT MAHARRY -- About seven months after the first series of interviews were conducted, staff from the office of U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and students and staff with the Iowa Valley Community College District (IVCCD) returned to the Iowa Veterans Home (IVH) campus to record more of them, all of which will eventually be archived in the Library of Congress and available for anyone to view.
