VanGundy

The Marshalltown Arts & Civic Center announces, as of September, Madisun VanGundy has been appointed as its Events Coordinator. In this role, VanGundy serves as the primary contact for individuals, businesses and organizations looking to host events at the MACC, a central hub for arts, business meetings and community gatherings in Marshalltown.

A Marshalltown native, VanGundy brings more than six years of experience in marketing, event planning and public relations. Her professional background includes communications roles with Polk County Health Department, Primary Health Care and AAA Minneapolis, as well as founding her own social media and marketing business. In each role, she has developed a reputation for creativity, organization and strong community connections.

“As someone who grew up attending school art shows at what is now the MACC, this role feels especially meaningful,” said VanGundy. “I’m thrilled to now serve the people of Marshalltown and Central Iowa by helping create memorable experiences in this incredible space.”

Heidi Pierson Dalal, executive director of the Martha-Ellen Tye Foundation, shared her enthusiasm for VanGundy’s appointment, “We are very excited to welcome Madi as the new Events Coordinator at the MACC,” said Dalal. “Her professional experience in event planning, communications and community outreach paired with her deep personal ties to Marshalltown, make her the perfect fit for this role. Madi’s energy and creativity will continue to grow the MACC as a place of connection for our community.”
