Ribbon cutting ceremony set for new UnityPoint Health clinic in Conrad

CONRAD — Construction is complete on the new UnityPoint Health Family Medicine – Conrad clinic, and the community is welcome to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 13.

The new clinic is located at 205 N. Hartwig St., which is on the east end of town, across the street from BCLUW High School and near Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic. Providers plan to see patients in the new location beginning Nov. 17.

The existing clinic will be closed Nov. 13-14 as equipment is moved across town. The new clinic will retain the same phone numbers and office hours (Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily).

“For years, our Conrad team has consistently provided outstanding care to their patients,” said Carolyn Barko, market vice president of clinic operations for UnityPoint Clinic. “We’re so excited the team and community are now stepping into a brand-new facility that will only enhance that exceptional experience.”

The new space is approximately 5,500 square feet and will be a much more efficient facility. It offers enhanced patient safety and comfort, along with a lab and X-ray equipment.

“We’re thrilled to be so close to opening the doors to our new clinic in Conrad,” said Becky Dirks, development director at UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown Foundation. “It’s a space that will expand access to essential care for our community.

“Thanks to the incredible generosity of Conrad and surrounding communities, we’ve made tremendous progress and are now just over halfway to our fundraising goal. But we’re not there yet. We need the public’s help to take this project across the finish line and ensure every member of our community has a place to turn for quality, compassionate primary care.”
