13th Street Jingle and Mingle event rescheduled for Thursday, Dec. 18
Despite inclement weather resulting in the postponement of the Jingle and Mingle Holiday pop-up event scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 11, the 13th Street District has pivoted to still support an evening of holiday shopping welcoming all businesses and vendors back who have the time availability open on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 18 with an updated time of 5:30 to 7 p.m.
“We are happy we can still promote shopping in the district to ‘wrap up’ your gift giving this holiday season. We even encouraged purchase of gift cards too,” 13th Street Board President Heidi Draisey said.

“We will have as many businesses open that have the time availability (listed in the FB event about tab) — as we understand those that can not. We also welcome back any pop-up vendors that can still join us,” Draisey said. “Sadly, Santa and Shanna Draper can not be with us next week but the quartet carolers may. They will check in early next week if they have the voice capacity that evening. We will still have the kid’s Holiday Hunt game and any businesses not open along with The Spot, we will place creatively on outside windows for kids to find. Cards can still be picked up from Lillie Mae’s and Salvation Army as well as returned there for a prize we have already purchased (DIY ornament kits). The activity is self serviced and families can help themselves to the cards and pencils.”
She also shared this message on behalf of the 13th Street Board.
“The 13th Street District Board would like to thank you for your understanding with the inclement winter weather event postponement on Dec. 11 and we are thrilled most businesses can still join us! Of those that can not, they send their regrets due to planned family activities, as we understand with this unanticipated change of date this holiday season. And know (that) we do truly understand for those of you that will not be with us next week. You will be missed! If anyone has any further questions, feel free to reach out,” she said. “Thanks again for your flexibility and support of this event!”
