After closing for months due to the ongoing reconstruction project, Main Street between Center Street and 1st Avenue has officially reopened to traffic as of Tuesday, according to the city of Marshalltown Facebook page.

“With the most recent snow event, pavement markings that were scheduled for today have been postponed for East Main Street between Center Street and 1st Avenue. Looking at the forecast, it is not anticipated to be marked in the next week; therefore, we are opening up the road to traffic until weather conditions allow for marking. Parallel parking is allowed on the North side and no parking is currently allowed on the south side,” a post read. “Thank you for your patience; please come downtown and support these businesses.”
