The team at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) came together to engage with the public during a “Donuts with a Deputy” event at the Marshalltown Hy-Vee from 7 to 10 a.m. on Friday morning. Visitors had a chance to enjoy free donuts, coffee and orange juice and converse with Sheriff Joel Phillips, Chief Deputy Ben Veren, Jail Administrator Patrick White and a host of other members of the MCSO staff — even K-9 Bosco and his handler, Deputy Tanner Hunt.
