Des Moines man arrested, charged for Marshalltown shooting

This morning a Des Moines man was arrested in connection to the West State Street shooting earlier this month.

Chance Wins Buffalo, 31, was apprehended by Des Moines Police Department officers as the sole suspect of the Jan. 11 shooting.

Marshalltown Police Department (MPD) officers responded to the shooting, surrounded the area and canvassed neighborhoods. Canine and drone units were utilized to help locate Wins Buffalo who escaped on foot. The victim, a 28-year-old man, was taken to UnityPoint Hospital and transported to a hospital in Des Moines where he is being treated for his injuries.

The MPD has received information everyone involved may have associated with one another.
