Marshalltown man charged with lascivious acts, grooming
Stanfield
A Marshalltown man was arrested and charged with a pair of felonies and a serious misdemeanor this week over allegations that he “knowingly and unlawfully used written communication to attempt to seduce, solicit, lure, or entice a child to commit an unlawful sex act or to otherwise engage in unlawful sexual contact.”
Eysak Robert Stanfield, 21, was arrested Thursday and charged with lascivious acts with a child — solicitation and grooming, both Class D felonies, as well as dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to minors, a serious misdemeanor. According to criminal complaints, the incidents occurred between April 13 and April 27, 2025, at a residence in Gilman, when Stanfield allegedly told the minor victim that he “loved” her via Snapchat and sent an unwanted photograph of his penis via the social media application.
Stanfield is currently being held at the Marshall County Jail on a $20,000 cash bond, and a no-contact order has been issued with the victim. A preliminary hearing has been set for Feb. 2 at 9:30 am.
