Marshalltown woman charged with vehicular homicide after fatal October crash

Over three months after a crash at the intersection of East Olive Street and 12th Avenue that ultimately resulted in the death of 18-year-old Kiana Zamora, a Marshalltown woman has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, a Class C felony.

According to a press release from the Marshalltown Police Department, officers responded to a traffic accident on Oct. 19, 2025 at 12:58 a.m. and found Zamora in critical condition. She was transported to UnityPoint Health — Marshalltown, where she was treated for her injuries but later died.

The MPD and the Iowa State Patrol conducted an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, and on Saturday, 19-year-old Boe Meh of Marshalltown was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide.

Court records indicate that a search warrant for a blood, urine and/or breath specimen was executed against Meh on Oct. 20, the day after the crash. In addition to vehicular homicide, she has also been charged with failure to provide proof of financial liability insurance and driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled or revoked.

She is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $10,000 bond for the vehicular homicide charge, an $1,167.63 bond for failure to provide proof of financial liability and $491.25 bond for driving while license denied, suspended, revoked or cancelled.
