On Friday, Naturalist Kim White brought unique animals to the Marshalltown Public Library for Storytime, and kids flocked to see the axolotl included. An axolotl is an amphibian in the salamander group, which appears to always smile due to its naturally upcurved mouth, and has remarkable regenerative abilities. Even though it stayed in the aquarium, kids were able to touch other animals, such as an armadillo, hedgehog and frilled gecko.
