National Independent Bookstore Day is set for Saturday, April 25, and Fizz & Fiction, one of Marshalltown’s newest downtown establishments, will be participating for the first time with a variety of special offerings including one-day only drinks, opportunities to customize books with paper, bookmarks and scissors, tarot readings with Mystics by Maci from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., kids logo decorating, Hobe al Henna art from 4-8 p.m., an appearance by author Rhonda Mumby from 4-8 p.m. and various in-store specials.
