The west lawn of the Marshalltown Public Library (MPL) was the place to be on Thursday afternoon as a Dia de los Ninos/Dia de los Libros (Day of the Children/Day of the Books) event featured free pizza and empanadas courtesy of Somos Emerson, live music, face painting, free books, an appearance from celebrities like Dora the Explorer and other activities.
