Marshalltown High School students like junior Luke Stalzer got a taste of life on the road through a trucking simulator set up outside of the Roundhouse on Tuesday afternoon and sponsored by the Iowa Motor Truck Association (IMTA). Stalzer and his friend Gavin Freiberg said they are both interested in obtaining their Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs). A vehicle from the 1168th Transportation Unit of the Iowa National Guard was also parked nearby, and senior Klaus Morris got a chance to climb up into the driver’s seat.
