The annual Fiesta Season of town celebrations and other events officially kicked off last weekend with the Lincoln Highway Bridge Festival in Tama, which included a parade through the downtown area on Saturday morning featuring the Color Guard, local first responding agencies, a wide variety of businesses and nonprofits, politicians and political candidates. The festival started Friday evening and continued throughout the day on Saturday with a host of activities.
