Students and staff gathered on the lawn outside of Woodbury Elementary School for a special end of year “Fastest Kid in School” race on Friday morning that kicked off with staff participating in an inflatable race narrowly won by Nelson Davalos, donning a pink frog suit, over runner-up Mary Brown. Miranda Solorio Sandoval and Diego Cervantes Pallares were the girls and boys race winners, respectively, and they got their pictures taken with last year’s winner, Jack Borcherding. They enjoyed strong support from their fellow students waving signs and cheering them on throughout the nail-biting race.
