With the ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening just two days away, the Marshalltown Parks and Recreation team is hard at work putting the finishing touches on the long-awaited Apgar Family Water Plaza located near Mega-10 Park on South 6th Street. The ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday followed by the grand opening from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with food trucks on site.

“We are so excited to finally open the Apgar Family Water Plaza. We’ve been working hard for a long time with the best team. As you can see, we’re still doing some finishing touches getting everything beautiful and ready to go,” Parks and Rec Director Kelsie Stafford said. “We hope to see all the community out here with us ready to enjoy.”
