AMES — Kimberly Baeth, daughter of LeRoy & the (Late) Patti Morford and formerly of Marshalltown, is the recipient of the 2026 Greenlee Professional Award, which recognizes a Greenlee School graduate who has demonstrated leadership, impact and achievement in advertising, journalism and mass communication and/or public relations.

Baeth built a multimillion-dollar public relations business serving hundreds of Fortune 500 companies and 8,000 chambers of commerce. She is now the owner of Cutting Edge Success, a consulting firm that helps other entrepreneurs achieve their dreams. She gives back tirelessly, serving on the boards of Better Business Bureau, Urbandale Economic Development Board, YMCA and the National Association of Women Business Owners. She has raised money for cancer care and research and won dozens of awards.

She was named National Enterprising Woman of the Year, Small Business of the Year by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Business Woman of the Year by the Business Record. She is a frequent media guest and public speaker on leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing and growth.

“With clear vision, a strong work ethic, and an entrepreneurial mindset, Kimberly turned a simple concept into a massively successful career. Now she has turned to helping others achieve their goals. She offers a powerful example for our students, many of whom dream of starting their own media brand or business someday,” said Tracy Lucht, director of the Greenlee School.

“I am humbled and honored to receive this award. I use my public relations degree, journalism classes, experiences, Greek life, clubs, honors, contacts, knowledge and skills from Iowa State, to help me every day, throughout my work and life.” Baeth said. “It has been so exciting to see Iowa State and the students grow and thrive over the last 35 years. I always enjoy giving back, mentoring and helping support new programs and opportunities as they arise at Iowa State. My heart still bleeds red and gold.”

Starting at $4.38/week.
