Students and parents filled up the Marshalltown High School (MHS) Roundhouse for the annual Marshall County Back to School Fair on Sunday afternoon with a wide variety of local businesses, nonprofit organizations and public entities represented. Attendees had the chance to grab school supplies, new shoes, get haircuts, dental and vision checkups and make sure they were up to date on vaccinations while learning about a range of services within the community, and games and inflatables were also available. Classes for the 2026-2027 school year are set to begin on Monday, Aug. 24 in Marshalltown.
