GARWIN - The Green Mountain-Garwin Community School District invites students, families, alumni, staff, and community members to celebrate an exciting milestone as we officially break ground on the future of our Secondary School next week.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on the first day of the 2026-27 school year, Monday, Aug. 24, from 8:15 to 9 a.m. at the Secondary School located at 306 Park Street in Garwin. Please allow adequate time to park safely and gather for the ceremony.

This special event marks the beginning of a transformational construction project that will preserve the legacy of GMG while creating efficient and safe learning spaces for generations of Wolverines to utilize. The ceremony will include welcoming remarks from district administrators, an opportunity to hear community reflections, the official groundbreaking, and a closing with the Pledge of Allegiance.
